The great Russian artist Kuzma Sergeyevich Petrov-Vodkin (1878–1939) was also an outstanding writer. The Euclide's Space is the second part of the master’s autobiography. Here Petrov-Vodkin “flies out of the nest” Khlynovsk and tells how he, a simple village boy, became an artist. These are memories of their youth and their most famous teachers and their friends: Serov, Korovin, Larionov, Levitan, Vrubel and many others. After training and first works, Kuzma Sergeyevich talks about foreign trips in 1905-1908. He tells brightly, vividly, noting everything that was happening in the seething European cultural life, as if in the Seal of Vesuvia.
