Everything will be fine, be sure. Cathlein Vereykin, Illustrations of Charlotte Pace
The story of the family, war and hope, making his way to goosebumps.
The ten -year -old Alice lives in Belgium while the First World War is flared up in Europe. At first, Alice her brothers and sisters do not want to believe that the war will come to their city. Parents whisper about this, but Alice tries not to think about the bad. But when the army and a string of refugees passes through the city, Alice's parents decide to leave their native places. True, it turns out that there is nowhere to run. It is more reasonable to return home, although it becomes dangerous at home. Shells burst around, people die, and one morning the inhabitants begin to suffocate from unknown poisonous gas... Alice has to go a long way so that she can again believe in her mother’s phrase - that everything will be fine, be sure. Let it not as she imagined.
This is a multilayer story about a sincere and slightly naive girl. From the first page, the reader, both small and adult, begins to empathize with the heroes. The mood of the book is surprisingly subtly conveying the one -color drawings of Charlotte Pace.
we know much less about the First World War than other, later wars. However, the story, told on behalf of the child, convinces: all wars equally destroy life. It is important to maintain faith and hope that everything will be fine. Let it be not the way this is stated in fairy tales.
