The proposed collection includes two early works of Cortasar, the “exam” and “divertissement” written by him when he was still in search of his literary style. However, they already feel the mood that he himself called “Buenos Aires”, and that elusive shabby music of the word and a sense of intellectual game with the reader, which later became a characteristic feature of his inimitable prose. “And the sleeping city seems to be with a balcony -in -arms glade illuminated by the milling color of white margaritians.” A city dies, covered by a strange and frightening madness of the rebellious nature and the bloody chaos of social cataclysms. And in this almost Kafkian nightmare, two young couples walk along the night streets on the eve of an important exam and lead an endless intellectual dispute. The foggy city, the foggy prospects, the energy of their hot hearts and the bitterness of the divided love through the edge. Today they are together, but by the end of the coming day, life will forever divorce them in different directions.
