Explanatory dictionary of the Russian language. Dal V.I.

In the famous dictionary of Vladimir Ivanovich Dahl, the vocabulary of the Russian language is represented in all its diversity. Many articles contain proverbs, sayings, excerpts from folk songs.

This edition represents a reduced version of the dictionary, which in full contains more than 200 thousand words, not counting examples of use and samples of oral folk art.

This book includes words that can be found in Russian classical literature, the usual words that have other meanings in the time of Dahl, as well as part of the vocabulary that describes historical realities. The text is reproduced in modern spelling, but with the preservation of the main features of the author’s punctuation.
