Fairy tales. Schwartz E.L.
“The Tale of Lost Time” Evgeny Lvovich Schwartz wrote for the Puppet Theater before the war in 1940. By this time, having realized his dream, he was already an end to the writer and playwright, who found his own language and topic. As a child, Eugene to the question of his mother, who wants to become, whispered embarrassedly: "Romanist." He began to invent his own stories early, and everyone certainly had a happy ending. As a child, Eugene experienced a craving for literature, theater. While studying at the Faculty of Law of Moscow University, he lowered almost all the money sent by his parents to theatrical tickets. It is not surprising that Schwartz soon replenished the list of failed lawyers, among whom were Charles Perrault, the brothers Grimm and Ernst Theodore Amadeus Hoffmann. But an amazing storyteller was born - Evgeny Schwartz. In 1921, he arrived in Petrograd on tour along with the actors of the Rostov Theater Workshop and quickly gained the glory of a brilliant improviser storyteller. Schwartz began to write stories for children's magazines “Chizh” and “Hedgehog”. At this time, his first fairy tales appeared; All of them are included in this unique collection. They are not only for children.
It is immediately obvious that these images are invented by a talented and cheerful person. As a result, Chizhikov entered the art department of the Moscow Polygraphic Institute and still began to cooperate with the magazines Crocodile, Funny Pictures and Murzilka. His drawings regularly appeared on the pages of the magazines “Pioneer”, “Young Naturalist” and “Around the World”. Chizhikov illustrated more than two hundred books, including the works of Andersen, Chukovsky, Mikhalkov, Milna, Kududer, Marshak and Uspensky. In 1981, he became an honored artist of the RSFSR, and in 2016 - a People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
