Fairytale Chukotka. Agafonova A.

I remember that the previous book “Fairytale Yakutia” has just been published, and readers suddenly began to demand “Fairytale Buryatia”, and the tales of Sakhalin and Chukotka. And I took up Chukotka an incredibly original land. The most valuable material that was not previously published was transferred to me by the Museum Center “The Heritage of Chukotka” and his senior researcher Ekaterina Pavlovna Otka. Some folklore features turned out to be similar to the northern tales that I had already published. For example, the Chukotka evil spirit of Kela is quite much resembled by the Yakut Abaas. Others are completely unique. Interestingly, in the epic of Chukotki as the ancestor of the world, the wise elder-spider Apayipayek often appears. He flows from the web of animals and birds, creates the world and solves eternal earthly disputes. According to the already established tradition, QR codes will be present in the book. Having scanned them, readers will be able to hear the audio versions of fairy tales in Russian, Chukotsk and Eskimo.
