Family Muscat. Zinger I. (Bashevis-Zinger)

The outstanding writer, Laureate of the Nobel Prize, Isaac Bashevis Zinger dedicated his novel “Muscat Family” (1950) of his older brother. Dedication emphasizes the continuity of the creative relay race, because it was Israel Yoshua Zinger with his famous work “Ashkenazi Brothers” that laid the foundations of a Jewish family novel. The “Muscat family” depicts the life of Warsaw Jews for several decades - we find a large family at a turning point, when, under the influence of circumstances, the existence of Polish Jews that has been debited for centuries begins, and we can trace his life for decades.

The novel exists in two versions - Yiddish and English, the translation of which we offer the reader.
