Family Psychology: Role approach. Sedrayan S.A.

The task of this monograph is the development of the socio-psychological concept of the role-playing approach to study the problems, structure, functions and dynamics of the family. Methodological, theoretical and empirical studies of family dynamics were organized and conducted. In this study, the role-playing approach is complemented by a number of hypotheses and the beginning of a new socio-psychological direction in the field of family research is actually laid. Based on the analysis of the results of practical studies of the family using the theory of roles, the status-role structure of modern nuclear sen was revealed, normal, healthy (adaptive) and pathogenic (maladaptive) roles are described. Primary relations in the family, including the primary role relations of family members, have been identified. For this purpose, narrative, survey, sociometric and socio-psychological methods of research were used, as well as a methodological and theoretical analysis of the empirical material accumulated in scientific psychology.
