The book of the wonderful Russian writer Valentin Grigoryevich Rasputin entered his best stories of different years.

- “Money for Mary”. Maria, an inexperienced seller of a village store, discovered a shortage. A thousand is a huge amount for her family. - “Farewell to Matera”. The story takes place in the 1960s in the village of Matera, located in the middle of the Angara River. In connection with the construction of the Bratsk hydroelectric power station, the village should be flooded, and the inhabitants are resettled.

- “The daughter of Ivan, the mother of Ivan.” The plot is based on the story of a woman from the Siberian city, who shot the rapist of her minor daughter.
