Father John. Bondarenko V.
“Good Shepherd”, “Earthly Angel and Heavenly Man”, “Confessor of All Rus'” - this is the name of the great elder of the Russian Orthodox Church Archimandrite John (Krestyankin, 1910-2006). The almost hundred -year life of Father John was dedicated to selfless service to God and people. He left such a bright mark that after the death remains a moral tuning fork, according to which thousands of the Orthodox around the world are checking themselves. The new book of the historian and writer Vyacheslav Bondarenko is based on archival materials and memoirs of people who personally knew the old man and contains many previously unknown details of his biography.
The book is published in the year of the 1030th anniversary of the baptism of Rus' and the 545th anniversary of the Holy Assumption Pskov-Pechersky Monastery, where Fr. John.
