Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860-1904)-Russian writer, prose writer, playwright. During his creative life, he created more than 300 works, the interest in which has spread far beyond our country and does not fade away to this day.

His works are simple and concise in shape and style, but affect deep social and moral problems , raising questions that are relevant for his time: the fate of Russia, intelligentsia, peasantry, childhood, human dignity, spiritual philistinism and the vulgarity of society, as well as a number of eternal topics: love, happiness, meaning of life.
