Federal Law "On the Pension and Social Insurance Fund"

This Federal Law defines the legal status of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Fund), the procedure for its creation, reorganization and liquidation, the functions and powers of the Fund, the management bodies of the Fund and their competence, regulates issues related to the possession, use and by order of the property of the Fund, as well as establish social guarantees to the employees of the Fund.

the Fund is created by the Russian Federation in order to provide the state with pension provision, compulsory pension insurance, compulsory social insurance in case of temporary disability and in connection with motherhood, and mandatory social insurance against industrial accidents and occupational diseases, social security, providing social protection measures (support) to certain categories of citizens, as well as for the exercise of other state functions and powers assigned to the fund in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
