Fenugreek. Roerich N.
Nikolai Konstantinovich Roerich - an outstanding philosopher, a wonderful artist and writer, traveler and public figure - belongs to the number of brightest personalities in the history of world culture. In this publication, readers are offered two works by Roerich, Shambhala and the Heart of Asia, in which the scientist, telling about the mythical country of Shambala, its meaning and the great ruler, tried to convey the “most sacred word” and “the cornerstone of Asia” to the West. The image of Shambhala became one of the central in the work of Roerich. Roerich gathered most of the stories about this “stronghold of the great knowledge and light” during the famous Central Asian expedition (1923-1928), during which travel diaries were created later published under the name “Heart of Asia”. The main part of these notes are the wonderful descriptions of ancient cultures, the discoveries of the secret knowledge of the East and the philosophical observations of Roerich, about which Leonid Andreev wrote: “The brilliant fantasy of Roerich reaches the limits beyond which it is already clairvoyance. The images are immature, deep and complex, like dreams, it puts it into clarity and beauty of almost mathematical formulas, in the colorfulness of colors, where the truth of the Creator is invariably felt behind the most unexpected transitions and combinations. ”
