Fight for Rhodes. Starshov E.V.
May 23, 1480. The Turkish army began the siege of the island of Rhodes, owned by Joannit knights. If Rhodes falls, the path to Italy, who is so dreaming of capturing the Sultan Mehmed, will be open. However, the forces are unequal. Only six hundred knights and two and a half thousand other warriors are opposed to the hundred thousandth of the Turkish army, not counting the militia. In addition, the Turks have giant guns capable of making any fortresses with the ground. Will ancient strongholds be able to resist the latest achievements of engineering? Will the old knightly ideals be stronger than new -fashioned Machiavellism? The English knight Leo Tornville, who takes part in the defense of Rhodes, is destined to see how the story will answer these questions.
The book is the final part of the trilogy of the writer-historian Evgeny Starshov about the adventures of Leo Thornville. The previous two books - “English slave of the Sultan” and “Two obstinate” - are previously published in the same series.
