“Filonov Day” Sergei Kruglova includes initiation and art to the phenomena of literature, poets, artists, musicians - forerunners and associates - united in a kind of expulsion of world culture, whose foundations and existence itself into question today. The stamp lying on the surface, often applied to this genre, is “crying by outgoing nature”, however, Kruglov sees this nature of alive and capable of life -to -live, and his collection is full of individual, special, unforgettable faces - as faces looking at the spectators in Pavel Filonov’s paintings.
Sergey Kruglov (b. 1966) - a poet, journalist, essayist, Orthodox priest, serves in Minusinsk in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The author of two dozen books of poems (“Removing a serpent from the Cross”, “Bird Court”, “Folk Songs”, “Queen of Saturday” and others), prose and Christian journalism (“About Filophyla”, “Stan Gazeta”, “Movement to the sky"). Prize laureate of Andrei Bely in 2008 for the books of poems “Mirror” (2007) and “Ceptor” (2008), the Moscow Account Prize (2009) and “Anthologia” (2016).
