The monograph discusses discursive methods for constructing factory identity on the material of the memoirs of Uralmash workers collected by the Museum of the History of Uralmashzavod (Yekaterinburg) in the 1960-1980s. Particular attention is paid to the identification and description of significant identifications for Uralmashevts: ideological, professional, spatial and temporary. The monograph also contains an overview of the artistic and journalistic texts of the 1930s, which served as a “discursive factory” for the development of important meanings in the story of Uralmash and the Ural workers.
