First love. Turgenev I.S.
Ivan Sergeevich Turgenev (1818–1883)-Russian writer-realist, publicist and translator, who deserved recognition both in his homeland and abroad. One of the first to study the “new person”, also thanks to him, the term “nihilist” was widespread. He was a corresponding member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences, an honorary doctor of Oxford University and an honorary member of Moscow University.
This edition presents three works of I.S. Turgeneva: “Asya”, “First Love” and “Bezhin meadow”. The first two stories are devoted to the tragedy of unrequited love, for many years pursuing a woeful lover, and the third tells of peasant guys gathered around the fire to tell each other terrible stories about various unclean power.
In all works of the writer, the idea of depicting the inner world of a person and his sincere experiences is traced, and the colorfulness of the narrative allows the reader to fully feel the vitality of the vicinity of many in general characters.
