A bright, stunted border mixture for planting along the paths, borders of flower beds and framing lawns. The contrasting combination of white, yellow, purple, orange shades creates the effect of an elegant carpet. Varieties of low or creeping plants (Alissum, low asters and velvets, calendula, bindters, dimorphothek, escholtz, Iberis, lion's pharynx, etc.) have a dense bush, allegedly, abundantly and amicably blooming throughout the season. A feature of the mixture is unpretentiousness, drought tolerance.
Plants are photophilous, prefer fertile, drained, moderately wet soils. It is sown for seedlings in April, planted in open ground after all frosts. In open ground, seeds are sown in April-early May. Carrying through the borders consists in loosening the soil, watering and haircut, which makes it possible to give the curb the desired shape. For a more magnificent flowering, the tops of plants are pinned at an early age.
