A very beautiful and elegant tall (60 - 80 cm) Aquilegia variety with elegant openwork gray -green leaves. Bright flowers are collected in fairly large dense inflorescences up to 5 cm in diameter. The deep root system tolerates wintering in open ground well. In the first year, the plant gives 3-5 stems, in the second-5-10. It goes well with fern, decorative cereals, irises and bells. Perfect for use as a curb plant, for an alpine hill and a cut.
Sowing in the winter in the ground or in March-April for seedlings with preliminary stratification of seeds. Diving is carried out after 4-6 weeks (in the phase of 1-2 of these leaves). In a permanent place, plants are planted in the phase of 5-6 of real leaves. The distance between plants is 25-30 cm. It prefers a fit, slightly moist places. Light, fertilized humus or compost, digging to the depths of the bayonet of the soil.
Care: moderate watering, weeding and top dressing (1-2 times per season with a solution of complete mineral or organic fertilizer), loosening. After flowering, the stems are cut at the height of basal leaves. Young plants are better to cover for the winter. Without reducing decorativeness, a bush of aquilegia grows in one place for 3-5 years.
