A charming annual plant from the family of astro, up to 100 cm high. Large (up to 7 cm in diameter), terry, bright orange flowers, cover a strongly large bush from July to late autumn. Cosmea is cold -resistant and photophilous, relatively drought -resistant. Prefers loose, moderately fertile soils. They grow direct sowing into the ground in the spring, or in the winter. To obtain compact, abundantly flowering bushes, the tops of plants are pinned. It is used for planting on flower beds, in mixborders for decorating fences and walls of buildings.
