Perennial elegant decorative plant, forming bushes up to 110 cm high. It differs in bright scarlet coloring and a rather long flowering period. The flowers are large, collected in thick dense cystic inflorescences 35-40 cm long. Dolphinium is often used for planting along walls and fences, as well as to create single or group plantings on the lawn and flower beds. It looks great in bouquets, in a vase it retains decorativeness for up to 10 days.  Separate, moderately moisture loving. The plant is unpretentious and cold -resistant. Sunny areas with light shading at noon are preferred, and fertile, well -drained soil. Sowing seeds is carried out in a permanent place in open ground in April-May. To obtain earlier flowering, it is grown in a seedling method. For seedlings, the seeds are sown in January-March under the glass and placed in a dark cool ( +10 ° C) place, and after germination they are taken out and contained at a temperature of +15-18 ° C. Seedlings are planted in May in May when the soil warms up to +10-12 ° C. Flowering in the first year is undesirable.
