Flowers of the Obrida "Blooming Carpet", perennial, 0.1 g
Perennial plant, forming beautiful outstretched curtains up to 15 cm tall, wintering under the snow. The leaves are small, oblong-lobed, with jagged edges. Flowers up to 1 cm in diameter, pink and purple. The plant is very decorative at the time of flowering, when the leaves are almost not visible due to the mass of flowers. It blooms from May for about 35-45 days.
The location is only sunny. Even in the partial shade of the output is stretched and practically does not bloom. Obrids prefers light, not too fertile soils with the addition of lime or chalk, completely cannot stand acidifying heavy waterlogged clays, as well as a fat land containing peat. Moisture is especially destructive in the winter, therefore plants are planted on rocky slides, in raised or well -drained areas. After the May flowering, the plants are immediately cut, which contributes to a new rapid and more compact growth. In autumn, repeated flowering is observed. Sowing is performed in late April - May or in November.
