It develops well on soils consisting of peat, humus and sod land with the addition of sand. When growing as a biennial, seeds for seedlings are sown in May-July on the ranging ridges. In late August - early September, grown seedlings are planted in a permanent place. 

For obtaining plants blooming in the year of sowing, seeds are sown from the last decade of February. In the substrate, grooves are made with a depth of 3-5 mm, the interval between the grooves - 1 cm. The seeds are laid out with an interval of 2 cm and sprinkled with the soil. The crops are moistened, covered with glass and placed in a warm light place with a temperature of +20-25 ° C. Glass is periodically removed for ventilation. Seals appear after 7-10 days. In the early days, ventilation is carried out 2 times a day for 20-30 minutes, gradually increasing the temporary interval, completely shelter is removed in a week. When forming two real leaves, dive is carried out. Seedlings are planted in open ground in late May - June. The planting interval is 15-20 cm.
