The book is a collection of entertaining stories of the famous American writer O. Genry. Psychologism and the subtle sense of humor inherent in his stories have gained millions of fans around the world.

The texts of the stories are adapted for educational purposes to the level of Pre-Intermediate. After each story, a comment is given, a translation of difficult words and expressions, as well as management aimed at testing an understanding of the text, working out vocabulary and grammatical structures, development of oral speech.
