Forensic medical examination of alcohol poisoning. Klevno V.A., Plis S.S., Maksimov A.V.

Methodological recommendations for forensic medical examination of alcohol poisoning were developed by the working group and approved on 11/21/2019 by the Association of Forensic Experts, posted in the information system of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation “Electronic Clinical Recommendations” in the section “Methodological recommendations” under a unique identification number MR110. The document was drawn up in accordance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts and contains structured information based on scientific evidence on the issues of the forensic medical examination of alcohol poisoning.

The current problems of the forensic medical examination of alcohol poisoning are considered, the terms and definitions, epidemiology, toxicokinetics, tanatogenesis and pathomorphological features are given. The procedure for the fence and directions of biological objects for forensic chemical research and expert assessment of the results of quantitative determination of ethyl alcohol, differential diagnosis with a sudden death, the design of a medical certificate of death, the formulation of the forensic diagnosis and the conclusion on the cause of death. Recommendations are designed to become an instrument that provides a unified methodological approach to carry out a forensic examination of poisoning alcohol.

The publication is intended for doctors-forensic experts and forensic experts, and can also be used by teachers and students of the departments of forensic medicine in the system of continuous vocational education in the development of continuing qualifications and professional retraining, professional educational programs training of highly qualified personnel in residency in the specialty 31.08.10 “Forensic Medical Expertise”.
