Hans Christian Andersen the world-famous Danish classic writer, poet, novelist, playwright, author of travel essays and memoirs. However, the main thing in his work was to this day of fairy tales and stories, or rather, collections of fairy tales and stories, in each of which individual works are connected by the unity of ideological and artistic content: fairy tales told to children, new fairy tales, stories, new tales and stories.

The proposed book includes the writer who remained outside the traditional children's publications of the writer, little -known and unknown to the Russian reader fairy tales and stories, translated from Danish and commented on by literary critic, philologist and translator Dmitry Kobosev.
