The author’s material for the folklore-historical film “Cossack Saga” began to collect the author back in Soviet times-in the early eighties of the XX century, when some heroes of the story, which the author personally knew and sincerely loved. The novel consists of five parts. This book presents part 4. The war, which describes the events taking place during the Great Patriotic War and part 5. The meeting that serves as the result of the life path of the main characters who managed to survive until the mid-60s of the incredibly complex and contradictory XX century. In general, a 50-year period was covered in the novel (from 1916 to 1966).

many materials originally collected for the novel Four Abyss-Cossack Saga were published in different publications in separate stories, in including “Mama” and “Ninth Corner” - in the hope that they will subsequently become the chapters of the novel. But it so happened that they liked the editors and readers as independent works and remained so forever.
