Leo Lionny, the world -famous designer, schedule and book illustrator, was born in Holland, studied in Italy, and moved in 1939 in USA. The artist died in 1999 at the age of 89, leaving many readers with many books. Four Lionni books were awarded the prestigious Kaldekott Award.
