According to the new Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the field of training 40.03.01 “Jurisprudence”, a foreign language course is taught as part of the discipline “Foreign language in the field of jurisprudence”. As a result, the content of the discipline is considered in the context of professional activity. These changes require a professionally oriented approach to the study of a foreign language, which determines the purpose and content of this textbook. Active knowledge of the French language as a language of profession and the formation of ability and readiness for intercultural communication determine the communicative orientation and competency -based approach to the content of the textbook (the formation of general cultural and the development and improvement of communicative competencies). A unique feature of this textbook is the presence of comparative materials on various aspects of the legal systems of France and Russia. This textbook is intended for students studying in the direction of training "Jurisprudence", qualification (degree) "Bachelor". It can be used by applicants and graduate students in preparation for passing a candidate exam in the French language, as well as a wide circle of people who want to get acquainted with the French language in the field of professional communication.
