The main characters of the stories of Valentin Rasputin (1937-2015) are children. And very small, and already matured. Here the boy, waking up and finding that his mother has gone somewhere, plays with her old toy-a one-legged bunny. Angry that he does not know where his mother, he throws a hare on the floor and kicks him. And then he repents: after all, the toy cannot escape anywhere. And the boy is crying from loneliness. But adult children come to the dying old woman - their mother. And this, it seems, is the only reason to meet everyone together again when everyone has their own life, full of worries. These stories are filled with love for people: for children and their parents. They show how difficulties they temper, even if you meet them on a very small life path.
