Abraham B. Jehoshua - writer of the generation of Amos Oza, Meira Shallev and Aaron Appelfeld, one of the most read in Israel and beyond and one of the most titled (Byalik, Giovanni Bokkaccio, Viazhendo, etc.) of Israeli authors. Jehoshua’s new novel tells about the family of a young soldier, killed by a “friendly fire”. The father of the deceased tries to find out how and who could make that fatal shot. Unable to withstand the grief of the loss, he leaves for Africa, to the Deaf Tanzani village, where he joins the archaeological expedition leading excavation in search of the remains of the predecessors of mankind.
