DAVIDA MARKISH Documentary Roman “From the Line to Chemistry” about the history of the public organization of the Jewish Anti -Fascist Committee (EAA), created at the direction of Stalin in early 1942 under the Swinformburo. The Committee included representatives of the Soviet Jewish intelligentsia from different fields of activity: the head of the SOVEN -Forman Bureau Solomon Lozovsky, writers Ilya Ehrenburg and David Bergelson, poets Samuel Marshak, Peretz Markish, film director Sergey Eisenstein, musicians David Oistrakh, actor Gilels, actor Veniamin Zuskin. Generals Yakov Crayser and Aron Katz, academicians Alexander Frumkin, Peter Kapitsa, the chairman of the committee became the chief director of the Moscow State Jewish Theater Solomon Mikhoels. In the post -war years, the international fame and communications of the EAA began to interfere with the pursued policy of I. Stalin. After the murder in 1948, the Chairman of the EAC Solomon Mikhoels was opened by the Eak case and the entire leadership of a public organization was arrested. All defendants were sentenced to death. They spared only Lina Stern - a scientist, biochemist and physiologist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences. From this moment, the process of eliminating the “cosmopolites” and the destruction of the remnants of Jewish culture in the USSR began. The novel is simultaneously a historically reliable chronicle of those years and a historical study based on documentary material and personal memories of the Father - poet Peresh Markish. The book published the selected poems of Perez Markish and the poem “Forty -year”.
