Fundamentals of immunology. Functions of the immune system and their violations. Abbas A.
This book is the translation of the sixth edition of a textbook prepared by widely known scientists and teachers. It clearly sets out the basics of the functioning of the immune system in normal and in pathology. In particular, modern data on cellular and molecular participants in immune reactions, mechanisms of activation and differentiation of T-, NKT-and B cells interacting for the formation of an optimal immune response are presented. Regulatory mechanisms that control the strength and duration of immune reactions are described, which provide tolerance in relation to their own molecules, representatives of normal microbioma and promoting gestation. The development of immunopathological processes is explained in detail: inflammation, autoimmunization, congenital and acquired immune disorders, infections, and malignant neoplasms. New methods of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic influences are reflected, developed and implemented in practice thanks to the latest molecular genetic achievements. The textbook is illustrated by visual drawings and photographs presented in the form of original images of cells and molecules of the immunity system.
The publication is intended for students of a biological profile, teachers, doctors, researchers and graduate students to disseminate new knowledge in the field of violently developing
