Fundamentals of Orthodox moral teaching
The book briefly states the Orthodox moral teaching: the foundations of Christian morality are considered - the commandments that a person is given by God first in the Old Testament (decalogue, or ten -word), and then in the naked sermon of the Lord Jesus Christ (commandments of bliss); The ratio of the Old Testament law, the natural moral law and the law of Christ is explained; The concept of sin is understood - both in its essence and in specific manifestations; The foundations of Orthodox asceticism are considered - the doctrine of ways to confront sin and the achievement of a spiritual state, agreeing with the will of God for a person, prayer. The book “Fundamentals of Orthodox Moral Teaching”, together with the other two - “Fundamentals of the canonical structure and liturgical life of the Orthodox Church” and “Fundamentals of Orthodox Veum” - is intended for use as a training manual in the system of additional religious education, in the process of catechization, as well as for the educational activities on parishes and outside the church fence.
