Fundamentals of spatial analysis. 2nd edition, processed and supplemented. Okunev I.Yu.
Spatial analysis - a direction in modern geographical science, connecting computer modeling in geoinformation systems (GIS) with spatial economy and mathematical statistics. In the monograph, the methods of spatial analysis for the first time in Russian science are revealed by the example of research tasks of social and humanitarian disciplines. For this, Qgis and Geoda packages are used, as well as the programming language R. This combination allows us to bring political and socio-economic geography to a new analytical level of generalizations. The book is written in such a way that it allows researchers to master spatial analysis techniques without special skills in working with cartographic programs and statistical methods.
The book will be primarily interesting to specialists in the field of public geography, but also researchers and analysts interested in spatial laws in social and humanitarian disciplines, including political science, international relations, sociology and economics.
