The basic issues of theoretical mechanics are reflected. Much attention is paid to theoretical issues of the main sections of theoretical mechanics -statics, kinematics and dynamics. The conditions of equilibrium of absolutely solid bodies and their systems are considered. The theory is given for various ways to solve problems on the topic of plane -parallel movement of an absolutely solid body. The author’s theorem is given about the projections of the vectors of accelerations of two points of an absolutely solid body that makes a plane -parallel movement to a straight line, turning relatively straight, connecting these points to a certain angle, according to the formula presented. The main theorems of the dynamics of the material point and the system of material points are considered.
