The textbook sets out the basics of raster graphics - one of the forms of presentation of graphic data used in the formation of digital illustrations, photographs, artistic images for publishing on the Internet, printing reproduction, etc. The basic theoretical issues of presenting raster graphics using the means computing technology, some mathematical and physical aspects of the formation of the structure of visual information, its color and gradation content, the principles of its processing, as well as techniques for creating products that meet high requirements for the quality of reproduction and has artistic and aesthetic value.
