The book included the essay of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996) “Donation of Aurelius” and “Letter of Horace” dedicated to culture, poetry, and philosophy of antiquity. These texts were written by the author in English in the 1990s and published in New York in the collection “On Grief and Reason”. In this publication, they are included in the language of the original and translated into Russian and represent the author not only as a poet, but as a deep and ironic thinker.
