Roger Kayua (1913–1978) - French anthropologist, sociologist and essayist. The monograph “Games and People”, published in 1958, became one of the main works of Kayua. Considering the game as one of the parts of culture and one of the forms of human social behavior, he develops the sociology of games and supports the thesis that many forms of social behavior stem from a person’s attitude to games. Kayua believes that the game can be considered one of the three most important spheres of culture along with the spheres of Sacred and Profantnaya. The game is a virtual reality in which it is possible to simulate what is impossible in everyday life.
