Garden and Cross: Materialistic interpretation of the Bible. Mohanraj V.M.
The book “Garden and Cross”, written by the famous Indian materialist V. M, Mohanraja, is a materialistic interpretation of the Bible, that is, the presentation of the content of the Old and New Labric without its supernatural component. Analyzing the text of the Scriptures, the author finds out what socio-economic phenomena, real historical processes or their perception by public consciousness are reflected in it, is trying to restore the picture of events without a plaque of mysticism. As a result, it turns out that the removal of a book underlying several religions from a book does not at all deprive its content at all, and in some cases even helps to better understand. The author also explores the origin of the Bible texts and the biography of Jesus from Nazareth, believing him with a real historical person. This is not the first such experience of the author. His pen owns the book “Warrior and Kolesnichy - Materialist interpretation of“ Bhagavadgita ”, which saw the light in 2004. The book can be of interest to a wide range of readers who seek to independently understand the issues of religion in general and the Bible in particular. The Russian translation of the book is correlated, as far as possible, with the synodal translation of the Bible.
