Heydar Jemal (1947-2016) - thinker, active participant in public policy from 1991 until 2016. He was buried in Almaty, where he left a month and a half before his death. “Gardens and the Wasteland” is the last book of Heydar Jemal, which can be called an autobiography, but it is much more like a political testament and a manifesto.
