General history of world painting

The history of painting, which has thousands of years, is inseparable from the history of the development of civilization. The monumental work of the world -famous German art critic, professor of the history of the art of the Breslavl (Wroclaw) University, director of the State Graphic Assembly in Munich Richard Mater (1860-1909), who collected a truly colossal material on the history of the fine art of the world countries, is an opportunity to survive the most exciting and memorable Moments of the eternal movement of mankind to the ideal. The book of Richard Mater, which went out of the press in 1894, dispersed in several months and caused a real public storm. The book became a brilliant triumph, which one can wish the scientific writer: his book was recognized as the first difficulty in which the search for innovers of the 19th century was appreciated.
