The book proposed to the reader is a reprint of the Patriarch of the Geneva Linguistic School and one of the founders of the modern linguistics of Ferdinand de Saussure (1857-1913) that published in 1933 and became a classic translation of the Patriarch of the Geneva Linguistics (1857-1913). Recreated after the death of the scientist by his disciples by S. Bally and A. Sedes according to the student records of lectures, the “Course of General Linguistics” laid the fundamental principles of linguistic science, which retain their significance to the present.
The book is recommended to linguists of all specialties, students and graduate students of philological faculties of universities, sociologists, as well as all those interested in the problems of the language.
