It is difficult to find a more contradictory figure in the history of the Great Patriotic War than Lieutenant General Andrei Andreyevich Vlasov. Until now, historians of Russia and the West in relation to the personality of the general are divided into two irreconcilable camps. Some call Vlasov a traitor, a bloody villain, a faithful accomplice of the Nazis, others - a glorious hero, an unbending fighter with totalitarianism.
