Vasily Yang (real name - Yangchevetsky) (1875–1954) - Soviet writer and publicist. At the turn of the XIX - XX centuries, he actively traveled around Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia. As a military correspondent, he participated in the Russian-Japanese and civil wars. After the revolution, he lived and worked in the USSR.
“Genghis Khan” is the first novel from the famous trilogy “The Invasion of the Mongols”, which tells about the Western conquests of the Mongols and the fierce struggle of the indigenous peoples inhabited these lands in the XIII century. In 1941, the novel was awarded the Stalin Prize, and the writer himself was admitted to the Union of Writers of the USSR.
