Stig Dagerman (1923-1954) - author of novels, plays, poems and stories, an idol of the whole generation of Scandinavians. His novels “Snake” (1945) and “The island of the doomed” (1946) made a young writer as a sign figure of literary Sweden.
However, Dagerman worked all his life as a journalist, creating articles, reports, reviews and poems for anger at anger Day for the syndicalist newspaper "Worker". In 1946, the Expressen newspaper invited Dagerman to go to Germany and write travel notes on the country's post -war life.
