Classics of Cyberpan, the world-famous manga Siro Masamune (real name Mangaki Masanori Ota) about the activities of the ninth department, leading in Japan of the first third of the 21st century, the struggle with cyber and simply terrorists, one of the most important works representing the new reality of the near future when Machine intelligence and immortal human soul will become one in the "armor" of consciousness. Starting to go out in May 1989 in the magazine Young Magazine, the manga found the status of a cult, inspiring many imitators. The author himself was inspired by the work of Arthur Kösler “The Spirit in the Machine” (Ghost in the Machine), which, in turn, incorporated the ideas of Descartes about the dualism of consciousness and body. The famous 1995 anime was shot along the manga, computer games were developed.
