XIII century. The battle of Kalka ended sadly - the Tatar army destroyed almost the entire Russian army. In Rus', the fallen warriors are remembered, but, as it turned out, not everyone who was considered dead, folded his head in that battle. Evpatiy Kolovrat and his squire found and, as if ghosts, are in Ryazan, to his native threshold. And yet it is too early to rejoice. It only seems that the trouble is behind, but in fact it is ahead: the Tatars felt their strength, prepare for a new campaign, and Kalka’s experience in Rus' went to science. It seems that the Russian princes and other those in power are ready to repeat the recent mistakes.
