The novice playwright Holly Sherwin finds an abandoned Hill House mansion. She, along with friends-actors, decides to rent a house for a month in order to work on a mystical play about witches. Neither numerous rumors about ghosts, nor warnings of neighbors stop friends. When the guests understand what terrible and dark place they ended up, it becomes too late, because because of the snowy hurricane they are locked in the walls of the mansion and Hill House is not going to let them go...
