The ball was crowded. After the noisy waltz, the nobleman Runevsky took his lady to its place and began to walk around the rooms. His attention was attracted by a mysterious person, still young, but pale and completely gray -haired. Interested in a strange look of a stranger, Runevsky decided to make a conversation with him. And he stated that ghouls were present at the ball. The real deceased who, with amazing impudence, pretend to be alive and only expect an opportunity to get enough of human blood.
